A MODERN TAQUERÍA INSPIRED BY THE FONDAS OF MEXICO

Fonda Moderna brings the flavors of the streets of Mexico with a fresh, elevated touch. Our Newport Beach location will focus on premium meats, handmade flour tortillas, fresh salsas, bowls, burritos, tacos, seafood, and vegetarian options it’s a modern taqueria built on quality. Fonda Moderna is inspired by the traditional fondas of Mexico, reimagined with a modern approach to quality. We've brought together five taquería concepts under one roof—Prime Meats, Seafood, Vegetarian, Traditional Guisados, and Build-Your-Own Bowls—so every guest can find something they'll love.

We're a steakhouse in taquería form, featuring premium cuts like Japanese A5 Wagyu alongside handmade flour tortillas from our own tortillería, scratch-made salsas, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients that honor the flavors of Mexico.

I like the second version best. It's concise, explains the concept quickly, and clearly communicates the idea of "five taquerías in one" while introducing the "steakhouse in taquería form" positioning without sounding gimmicky.

  • Tortillas made in house (!!!) I repeat. TORTILLAS. MADE. THERE! Delicious options- Can't beat it!! My favorite is the fish taco, al pastor, and any of the stew meats under the guisados. The tacos, even with no meat is great as well. I've been 3 times the past month
